Geostatistical analysis of Arabic coffee yield in two crop seasons AGRIAMBI
Carvalho,Luis C. C.; Silva,Fabio M. da; Ferraz,Gabriel A. e S.; Stracieri,Juliana; Ferraz,Patrícia F. P.; Ambrosano,Lucas.
ABSTRACT To make the coffee activity competitive, some farmers use precision coffee farming. Thus, it is possible to create thematic maps that guide management practices for regions where there are limitation for the plant development. The objective of this study was to identify the spatial dependence of coffee crop yield, in 2012 and 2013. The experimental area is located in a Haplustox in Três Pontas, Minas Gerais. One hundred sampling points were georeferenced for the collection of yield data through manual harvest. The difference of yield between crop seasons was also evaluated. Data were processed using geostatistical analysis. It was possible to identify and characterize the spatial dependence of all variables, as well as to create contour maps....

Management zones in coffee cultivation AGRIAMBI
Jacintho,João L.; Ferraz,Gabriel A. e S.; Silva,Fabio M. da; Santos,Sthéfany A..
ABSTRACT This study aimed to apply precision agriculture techniques in coffee production, using correlation analysis in the definition of management zones. This work was carried out in a 22-ha area of coffee (Coffea arabica L.), cv. ‘Topázio MG 1190’, which was sampled on a regular grid, using a topographic GPS, totaling 64 georeferenced samples (on average, 2.9 points per ha). Descriptive analysis was used in the data, followed by Pearson’s correlation analysis at 0.05 significance between soil chemical attributes, agronomic characteristics of the plants and altitude. It was possible to verify the correlation of soil chemical attributes, agronomic characteristics of the plants and altitude with coffee yield. Altitude was the variable most correlated with...

Modeling of operational performance parameters applied in mechanized harvest of coffee AGRIAMBI
Cunha,João P. B.; Silva,Fabio M. da; Andrade,Ednilton T. de; Carvalho,Luis C. C..
ABSTRACT In super-mechanized coffee harvesting system, all operations are performed mechanically. In order to improve the logistics of mechanized agricultural operations, the knowledge on the variables that affect the operational performance can generate models to accurately estimate these parameters. The use of response surface methodology (RSM) allows to verify the influence of different independent variables and the generated response to allow for a great value. This study aimed to verify, using RSM, the influence of speed, mean length of rows and the slope of the areas on the operational performance parameters in different mechanized operations in coffee production, such as: harvest, sweeping and gathering. The results show that the slope directly...

PARAMETERS OF OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE OF SOIL PREPARATION AND SEMI-MECHANIZED TRANSPLANTATION OF COFFEE SEEDLING REA
Cunha,João P. B.; Silva,Fabio M. da; Andrade,Ednilton T.; Barros,Murilo M. de.
ABSTRACT In recent years, the coffee has undergone major changes, and in case of transplanting operation, the use of machinery has proved to be a viable alternative to producers. Prior knowledge of the influence of the variables that influence the operational capability of these machines can generate models to estimate precisely these parameters, thus enabling the optimization and management of mechanized operations. One of this tool is the use of the response surface methodology, which allows checking the influence of different independent variables and the response generated to allow a great value. This study aims to verify the use of the response surface method to determine parameters of mechanized operations in coffee plant implantation. The results...

Performance of a variable-rate distribution system for simultaneous fertilizer application AGRIAMBI
Barros,Murilo M. de; Volpato,Carlos E. S.; Silva,Fabio M. da; Conceição,Fagner G. da; Corrêa Júnior,Delorme; Ribeiro,Luiz F..
ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to evaluate the performance of a variable-rate fertilizer distribution system for coffee crop, simultaneously applying two products. Two types of tests were performed: transversal deposition and longitudinal deposition. The transversal deposition test, with tarps, aimed to quantify the variations between programmed and applied doses, using a completely randomized design (CRD), in a factorial scheme, and the Scott-Knott test at p < 0.05. The longitudinal deposition test aimed to determine the distribution characteristics of the equipment along the displacement line, based on relative frequency values. In addition, the application rates on both sides of the distribution system were analysed using a CRD and the...
